Original Image

To complete my first step, I turned up the brightness and turned down the contrast. This was to lighten the photograph as it was a little dark, and to highlight the shadows more because they were very dull.

Next, I added a cyan photo filter, turned up the density and unpreserved the luminosity.

This added a light sheet of colour ontop of my photograph.

For my third step, I adjusted the shadows and highlights by making the shadows lighter and lightening the photograph more.

To complete my photograph, I edited it into black and white and changed the colour tones.

Changing the colour tones of the black and white photograph meant that I could adjust the lightness and darkness of areas of the photograph and also changing the tone of some highlights.

I like this photograph as you can't see the models face or emotions because of the angle and lighting. I like the shadowing and the lighting because it's quite dark and it's almost as you can just see the outlining of his head and the material.

This photograph focuses more on the material, angles and lighting more than capturing the front of the model and their emotions.

I like how I chose black and white because it brings out the shadows more and gives a darker feeling.
