Step by step guide

Step One

The first step that I completed was turning up the brightness and turning down the contrast. This lightened he highlights in my photograph and darkened the shadows.

Step Two

I then adjusted the shadows and highlights for my second step.

I only turned up the shadows by 1% because that made enough difference to the photograph so I didnt need to turn it up more.

Original image

I like this photograph a lot because it's close up on the model's face showing all the detail of the colourful, interesting texture on the model.

I removed the necklaces from the model as it looked out of place and the attention was drawn to them

I didn't complete many editing steps as the colours were already okay and I liked the texture, shadows and lighting so not much needed to be done.
